    Project Status?

Hi Guys, it has been quiet in the game thread and I was wondering where we were:

    1. Is the project dead?
    2. Is it going on, but scaled back dramatically?
    3. We go on as planned ( I don't see how it can be however in all reality now).

I am asking because my free month is coming up (November) and I would like to spend it for good use.

    Re: Project Status?

Well, I will take this as the project is dead for now, especially within the competitiion timeline. I think a lot of good has come out of what has been done so far and it was difficult task in a short time frame. I think new ideas for tbgl and thinbasic came out of it and difficult tool ideas were presented. Thanks to all involved again for the new ideas and efforts.

    Re: Project Status?

    Kent,

for what it concerns to me, I'm working on many new features in thinBasic Core, TcpUdp and UI modules
Done that I will work on a new module working with online Game scoring also developing the server side infrastructure using thinBasic CGI module. So the local module will be in change to validate the local results (and avoid cheating) and send them to the server side web. Server side will reply when needed in order to give back per game/game version/user play score lists and other things.

I do not have any idea on timing but I will work as fast as I can.
If this will go into CM contest or not, at the moment it doesn't matter to me. If I success, we will have many new features ready for the future. CM contest gave me the good reasons why to work on those aspects.

    Ciao

you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you might find, you get what you need
