Giant asteroid set to narrowly miss Earth

I think it's a warning of what is to come, the prophecies of the Bible foretell that a large asteroid will hit the earth's ocean, killing two thirds of the sea life as well as destroying two thirds of earth's ships.

Hmm, it looks like we're good for another 70 years according to the article.

We are getting to the stage where it is possible to deflect these objects given sufficient warning.

Our planet has had some nasty accidents in the past. Something really bad happened about 250 million years ago in an event known as the Permian-Triassic extinction. It was a near wipe-out and took about 50 million years to recover the original biodiversity. This lead to rise of the dinosaurs.

That seems like an awfully long time ago for them to be so sure about that, lol. We seem to have a hard time keeping the last several hundred years worth of history accurate...

Unfortunately, guys, none of this makes any difference.

    Goodbye to you all.

    It was nice knowing you.

but what they will say after 11 days they must prepare answer from now . this is like when Nostradamus predict that the world will end in 7/7/1999 many people waited for that famous date .

And I thought the world was supposed to end next year. =P

According to George Kavassilas the Earth as we know it will end on the Spring Equinox of 2013, not the Winter Solstice of 2012.

The general advice is not to go aboard the ET spaceships. You might end up in a zoo . Those remaining on Earth will be transformed with the planet to a higher dimensional form.

Considering none of the experts agree on any of this, I'm inclined to believe we're safe for a while yet.
