Hi folks,

as Petr agreed on showing of the samples for the sprite functions allready, I attached a zip file with the created scripts. I hope it helps and please ask if you don't understand something.

For the unknowing ones, the sprite commands are part of the 1.7.8 beta release of thinBasic. So you need to install this if you want to run these scripts.

And if you have suggestions, then I am more then happy to read them an see what I can do.

Mike that is super superb! Shadows, looks like bit level collision, parenting and the follow example with really cool physics motion and reaction to stops... awesome!!
What an incredible addition to thinBasic!! Thanks !!

Mike worked hard on this, and the results are really fantastic.

This event based sprite system is very powerful, and far better than anything I would create in this area myself, I am really very happy Mike joined the TBGL :eusadance:

Yes, Michael an Petr did a great job.
Worth to check at the source code looking how elegant are the solutions with event driven pries.
And you will see more very soon ...

hi michael :)

wow! thank you for this sprite-examples.. I tried two, three examples some minutes before, worked very well with new 1.7.8.0 beta.. I will check the samples closer the next days... and thank you for updating new tbgl power with petr! GREAT! :D

game development will become better and easier for the future so I can imagine... and I will use this new power for my own old/new projects... and new features are every time welcome for thinbasic and tbgl :)

I like the shadowed little space ships very mucho ! one question: the speed of moving the the shadowed space ship was very slow, it's correct ? ;)

see you, Lionheart
