Hi folks,

I know most people give themself new golas that they want to reach during the next year. Di you set yourself some goals regarding thinBasic? I would like to hear about them.

My goals look are these:

1) Finish my pathfinding and pattern module for thinBasic. It's 60% done right now.

2) finish an Opengl GUI Module, about 20% done.

3) Write another small game with thinBasic. I will set myself a timeframe about 4 weeks, like I did with Airdogs 1942.

4) Contributing to the TB-Journal with little tutorials, game development wise.

5) Enhance the samples and helpfile for my current modules

Hi Mike,

good goals, I like them all!

I think I too much talked and did not do much in the end in some areas (especially animations), so I will keep my resolutions a bit more dry but realisable ( I hope :D ).

1) Journal, Journal, Journal :)

2) Finish TBGL Manual in PDF form

3) Continue works related to entity system and model animation

4) Get idea for and finish good game (not alone) or application

5) Get into Oxygen, there is whole sea of possible CPU optimizations awaiting... and to discover other modules

6) I would love to have psch.thinBasic.com CGI powered by ThinBasic

I am curious what will be achieved when I will look at this thread next year :)

Hi Mike and Petr,

My resolutions for Oxygen: they are wildly ambitious but they dictate their own pace and refuse to be rushed. I hope the Basic syntax will be usable in thinBasic very soon - much of the nucleus is already working.

1) Complete the nucleus.

2) Run through the Petzold Examples.

3) Extend Oxygen Basic with Oxygen

4) Compile thinBasic Modules in O2 Basic

5) Rewrite Oxygen nucleus in O2 Basic as proof of fitness.

And this is mine:

support thinBasic users as much as I can as professional as I can
improve thinBasic help filling all the missing topics and improving some other areas
resolve all reported bugs
improve thinBasic Core stability and execution speed
improve thinBasic debugger
move thinBasic to version 2.0 stopping compatibility with Win9x world
support thinBasic programmers in developing modules
start multi-threading support for Core Engine
add possibility to define threads in scripts
release thinBasic Core engine as independent engine to be used by 3rd party applications as internal script engine

Quite scared about it :o
;D

PS: of course there are many other items too long to list.
