I'm missing one app that I just got today, and that thing works for XP! According to the press VISTA users can use their buildin defraging app. But the XP defraging app just moves stuff around. And doesn't make the computer really faster. JK's Defrag really works. It takes a while but my computer got significant faster.

    Get it here: http://www.kessels.com/JkDefrag/

Just unzip it and run the windows tool. I'm really impressed with it.

    Hi Mike,

defragmenter is interesting, not super fast, but seems to know what it is doing
Will see how much it will affect performance.

Eros, interesting site. I can recommend PSPAD, mentioned there too.

    Thanks,
    Petr

I never used the built-in defragmenter in XP, I used Contig instead.

I've also got Contig installed on Vista but I've got Defraggler installed too.

Thanks Mike, I used the defragger last night for the first time. Seems to do as you wrote really well. I am very happy, thanks!
