Those are cute.
They got me thinking about robots that look anything but human compared to robots trying to look like humans. I think there needs to be both. The reason, if you are like a "Big Kid" and have a good imagination-- you can relate to anything as they are. But I know, that there are many people who no matter how advanced a robot is, if it doesn't look human will never see it as anything but a smart toy. They need to have that human look before ever having a chance to get to another level of interactivity or acceptance.
I noticed this not only in visual but audio terms too. Many of my older relatives can never understand digital synthesized voices, those that sound robotic. But the human sounding voices they understand and even respond to with thank you's from time to time and that always gets a laugh out of me and I feel happy they are accepting the technology.

Very nice thread
Kent, thanks for the video! I really like the games by Quantic Dream, but I somehow missed this video, very neatly done.
I guess the facial expression capture system was the same as the one used in Heavy Rain game later?:

thanks kent, apart from kara beauty, this reminds me of the Head transplant in wich they mount the head onto the body of another person. In 1959, China announced they had succeeded in transplanting the head of one dog to the body of another twice. or the brain transplant in which they move the brain of a patient to another body. it is controversal that the victim will retain his feeling of his old own identity or be another one.
a funny article "A head (or body) transplant for Stephen Hawking" http://forgetomori.com/2009/science/...ephen-hawking/
as an addon look at the short 1.2 minute video "Live Brain Operation in Berlin " while the students are watching and the related videos (horrible)
