I remember one of these being present in the "intro" of Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World series (or something like that), it scared the hell out of me as a child

It seems to me the Wiki considers it mostly fake, what do you think about it Charles?

Well, there's quite and industry producing modern crystal skulls but I think the Mayans may have some authentic and truly ancient ones.

I feel they are not all scary nor created for sinister purposes.

Would you be happy to keep one in your bedroom?

The Episode of Mysterious World featuring an interview with the woman who found the Crystal Skull can be found on YouTube, I too remember watching it when I was younger.
