there is an introductory gui designer, download thinForm_v2_0.tbasic:

i prefer to use a pre designed examples, then i change its parameters.
look for examples here: C:\thinBasic\SampleScripts\UI\Menu\Menu.tbasic
in the future version 1.90 there will be templates for many possible examples
